What is "EXPOSITORY PREACHING"? At Liberty we practice expository preaching and teaching.Expository preaching is the systematic sequential preaching of entire books of the Bible one verse at a time. This is in distinction to "topical preaching" where sermons are built around specific topics. This is the most common preaching and teaching method practiced in evangelical churches today. However we believe expository preaching is the best way to preach "the whole consel of God". Expository preaching and teaching is a contextual verse by verse examination of Scripture in order that those who hear might correctly understand and apply the Word of God to their lives. |
